SPRING RALEIGH TENNIS LEAGUE

  • In the spring, QHSC teams compete against other local swim and tennis clubs.
  • There are various competitive levels.
  • Juniors are eligible to play provided they have not reached their 18th birthday by July 1 AND are NOT a high school graduate.
  • Tennis ability, and age; will determine what level team an individual plays on.

 

 

Spring Practice Schedule (beginning the week of Feb. 23):

MONDAY:

5-6:30p – 14U Silver

TUES:

5-6:30p – 14U Bronze

WEDS:

4:30-6pm – 10U

6-7pm – 8U

THUR:

5-6:30pm – 12U

FRIDAY:

4:30-6pm– 18U Gold

Spring Match Schedule (Saturdays, beginning March 7):

    9-10:30am - 8U
    9-10:30am - 10U
    10:30am-Noon - 12U
    10:30am-Noon - 14U Bronze
    Noon-1:30pm - 14U Silver
    1:30-3pm - 1U Gold

 

CITY OF RALEIGH SPRING TOURNAMENT - May 1-3

 

SPRING & FALL JUNIOR TEAM TENNIS

  • This format for city-league play is part of a national league program sponsored by the USTA.
  • This co-ed City of Raleigh league is open to boys and girls 18 and under.
  • Ability, and age, will determine which team a player is placed on. Team placement is the decision of the coach.
  • This program includes weekly practice and a Saturday match against city, club and subdivision teams.
  • Saturday matches last about 1.5 hours. The season ends with a city-wide tournament.
  • At practice players work on strokes, shot combinations and singles and doubles strategy.
  • Details including practice times and fees on the current season are available on the application form.

COURT RESERVATIONS

Court reservations are strongly recommended and can be made on the tennis information board near the courts under the clubhouse deck Non-member Residents of Wake County are limited to using our courts 5 times per calendar year as guests of a member player. There is a $5 charge, per visit, for all non-members playing as a guest of a member. Pay at the snack bar.
